mdhomeschool 0 Posted August 25, 2008 Hello, I have joined today as I am one week post-surgery and feel I'd like to chime in on some things others are saying! I had my surgery with Dr. Singh in Baltimore, and just had a one-week visit to check on an infected incision site (not too painful after three days on antibiotics). Did the 6-month diet, got approved in two months (too long for me!), had to reschedule a trip to see the parents in California so I could get this surgery on the 18th of August. My mom flew out to help me, which was good, but even better was that I stayed overnight at the hospital. It was a pain getting checked by nurses, but having that movable bed was a life saver the first day! I'm trying my best to look at food differently, as fuel for the body and nothing more. It's a process... sigh... but I encourage you all to soldier on!
Laurinda 1 Posted August 26, 2008 Congrats to you! You sure will look at food different! It's a time process. You will be amazed. I sure as heck haven't had the band near as long as many others on this board but if there is anything I can do please feel free to message me :crying: Good-Luck to you!
