Protein Intake?

My Dr. told me that I only needed 25g of Protein a day. Does that sound low to anyone else but me? I checked a protein calculator online and it says I need 83g.

OK I stand corrected I just checked my paperwork and it says, 25-30 initially then as tolerated 60 grams for women and 72 for men of Protein.< /p>
