Newly banded and swimming

My kids and I have season passes to a Water park... How long did anyone wait before going into a public pool? Just curious, with the incisions and all...I was banded on May 31st.

Definitely DO NOT go until your incisions are completely healed over. Usually we're talking 10 - 14 days.

Yes, be sure that your incisions have no scabs and have no more leaking or seeping from them. Otherwise you risk getting an infection or irritation from the pool and its chemicals. You want to be sure they have "new skin" over them all and not anything that will allow in the Water.

My doctor said 10 days before pool, lake, etc.

Just sit on the top steps with your feet in, and make sure the kiddies know they can't splash you or throw you in. Protect those incisions & prevent infection at all costs!
