illinoishusker 0 Posted October 7, 2008 I swear I blink and this thread gets bigger. lol I start my liquid diet on saturday and I'm ok with it. I've done a short stint of a month on liquid, so I know I can do it for a little bit. I'm starting to get nervous, not scared, just uneasy. I have to go get an EKG, chest xray and bloodwork for preop b/c of my age. I just turned 40. I love hearing that so many of you are doing well after surgery and that calms me down. Wishing us all luck. I know it'll be hard, but I love the quote. "There are no triumphs without struggle" So those triumphs will mean so much to us b/c we fought for them! Gracey 7 Posted October 7, 2008 Oh good! I was afraid you thwap me in the head! I think the most common suggestion that I've is to use the Gas-X strips that melt on your tongue...that and get in enough fluids.
