Ice Coffee

Recommended Posts

I am a huge ice coffee drinker and as we all know, it can be really high in calories and fat. McDonald's has a sugar free vanilla that I really like. Anyone have any thoughts about it. Is this ok? I think it's 90 calories which isn't too bad to me, especially because I consider this a treat vs. ice cream. Oh and it's sooo much cheaper than Starbucks!!!

I make my own... i use a cup or so of milk (calorie countdown hood milk - low carb, good protein) or i use Water, then ice cubes, a scoop of vanilla Protein Powder, dash of vanilla and a tsp of instant coffee and mix with hand blender til slushy. sometimes put a dash of cinnamon on top. Found it in a book and adjusted it to my likes. Yum!

I make my own at home too but I use the fat free hazelnut Creamer (although I know they make a sugar free, I haven't tried it yet ) and I add some Splenda to it too. Much cheaper than McD's/Starbucks!

I make my own also, but go super low fat. I use either left-over coffee, 2 artificial sweeteners, and a little bit of no-fat dried milk. Sounds awful, but it does the trick for me. I have one every day after I get home from work.

Kat:

I love both hot and iced coffee made with fat free french vanilla cream substitute. Yummmy. It will save you a few bucks for new clothes by making it at home.

Best wishes for your lap band success.

Sue

I am gonna call myself on the carpet with this one. I have NOT nor will I EVER give up my coffee. I did however cut down on the high calorie coffee drinks. I drink a McD's iced coffee 32 oz every morning and I am fine! :)
