Cann't keep up with my 3 Boys! Alpena MI

Recommended Posts

 Hello- I'm excited next week Thursday is my banding. My boys are 8, 6 and 4. They go none stop-you would think that I would be as thin as a pencil. I was never able to loose the weight after having the kids and working full-time. So here goes nothing! :P--

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. I'm sure you will do fine, and you will soon have sooo much more energy to keep up with them. I am from East Tawas. Where are you having your surgery at? I'm going through Hurley, still waiting on a date. Only a couple weeks till I'm done with my 6 month diet.

You will do great!

Congrats on thurs, and good luck! I also have 3 boys, ages 16,18 and 20 next month. I doesn't seem possible. Seems like yesterday they were an infant, 2 and 4. Goes by so quickly. I'm getting banded 9/29, 1 week from today. I'm getting so excited/anxious I can hardly stand it. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up better with the hiking, snowboarding, etc and just feel better all around. :girl_hug:

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
