lalaredd 0 Posted August 21, 2008 I am six weeks out from surgery, and losing at a normal rate. My dr said it was ok to do sit ups/crunches. When did you start abs exercises?
Jodi_620 37 Posted August 22, 2008 Hi lalaredd, you and I aren't far from each other; I am in Sterling. I started ab exercises somewhere between six and seven weeks post-op. I started slow with crunches and leg lifts etc. and added a few more reps each night.

Jodi_620 37 Posted September 3, 2008 daba373, have you had or do you plan to get Lap Band surgery? Looking through all your posts, you have never actually discussed the topic of the Lap Band or weight loss surgery...Just Curious.
trinity2008 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Hello, I saw your posting and noticed that you and I had our surgery done by the same weightloss center; I had Dr. Tran. My surgery was done back in April and my doctor said it was ok to do sit-ups as well, but I am scared. Have you tried doing them yet? And does it hurt the port site? lalaredd 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Dr. Halmi did my surgery. Yes, I have done a few situps. No pain near my port area. But I think my port is placed higher than others. My port sits on the right side 3 inches below where my bra lays.
