How do youif you band slipped?

I was sick and throwing up. Now I'm worried that my band might have slipped.

You need to call your doctor anytime you get sick and are throwing up a lot. I have personally not thrown up from being sick since being banded and am super duper scared to do it. I think it would hurt really bad. I don't know this, it just seems like it would. I would call and discuss this with your doctor.

The typical symptoms of slippage are esophageal reflux , burning indigestion and pain when eating and drinking.

I don't think that throwing up is typically a sign of slippage but whether it is or not, I was told that throwing up is never good for a bandster...see your doctor.

How are you feeling now? Can you get fluids in? Did you go on fluids for 1-2 days after throwing up to give your stomach time to relax?

I'm feeling fine now. Called the dr. he wanted to see me. He unfilled my band for a week. I go back next week and he will start to fill again.
