ShrinkyDink 0 Posted August 22, 2008 I'm not sure if I'm supposed to eat this but I am. I am having Taco Bell's Pintos and cheese which is refried Beans with cheese and taco sauce. It's is the perfect consistency and tastes delicious. I've heard others saying refried Beans were allowed :cursing:
mominflorida 0 Posted August 22, 2008 Glad to hear someone else is tired of the swelling. I feel like a bowling ball. I am uncomfortable too. I know it will pass. Reading all of your stories helps a lot.
shellyelise 0 Posted August 22, 2008 I've heard others saying refried Beans were allowed  Most Dr's DO allow refried Beans, BUT I think it would be healthier if you bought fat-free beans at the store. I add salsa & FF sour cream to mine.
Kegra 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Potato Soup and Beans are lovely, but they are high in carbs. I was told that for the rest of my life I would have to focus on getting my Protein in first. Are you still doing the Protein Drinks or did you add eggs?
ShrinkyDink 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Now that I'm feeling better and my tummy isn't so tender I'm eating more Protein, but those first few days I ate what felt easy on my stomach and didn't worry about the nutritional content.
Shamrockgirl60 1 Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) Well every doctor is different. I am on cottage cheese and stuff after two weeks. I love Soup, try the "soup at hand" by Campbells it's very blended and easy to sip on. They have a new one, Tomato with parm cheese bisque it's delish...love it. I also like the cream of chicken soup too. Lot's of different Soups. I love butternut squash so I cook that and put it in a blender with a little Water and make soup it's so good, with a bit of splenda and some apple pie seasoning. Or pumpkin pie seasoning. glancerlm 0 Posted August 23, 2008 Ten days after surgery, I went to Wendy's and got chili; I told them I wanted mostly juice and just ate the juice out of it. It made the biggest difference in my body hunger and didn't bother me at all. I'm on pureed foods now. Trust me, once you get to mushies, it is soooooo much better.
