Does anyone have trouble with them? I've not yet had a fill (and am doing great without it), but want to start taking prenatal Vitamins (for extra nutrients), but am afraid they will get stuck. :wink2:

Best thing is to crush them....just in case. I hear if it has the soft casing then there is no need to. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids to wash them through.

well i am so glad u posted this thread... I have a few pill that can't be crushed and i feel like my chest is going to burst open every time i take them. I literally have to take 3 2x a day and i have to take them like 10-min apart.. i was just thinking about how i could get around it.. and there is no way.. i have 6.5 cc's in my band and i have more of a restriction in the morning and it seems like as the day goes on it loosens up but damn does it hurt...

Girl I know what you mean about that band being tight in the morning. I just had my first fill last thursday, and that sucka is so tight in the morning. It loosens up during the day. I will get another fill in a week because as the day progress I loose restriction. But boy oh boy is that sucka tight right now. It has take me almost 30 mins to eat to bites of soft scrambled eggs:hurt:. Who knew eating an egg could be so painful:sad:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
