catowita 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Hi, My name is cathy and I received my band on August 1st. Before the surgery I was very worried about the effects of the surgery and if I wanted a piece of plastic in me for the rest of my life. I was also afraid to really tell anyone, I was thinking maybe they would think I was taking the easy way out. But now I am so happy, I have so much energy I feel great, I'm not hungry. I only eat about one meal a day the rest if mostly liquids. And my family has been great I told everyone after I had completed the surgery and they are all thrilled that I did this for myself. I wish I had not waited so long to question my doctor. I'm 43 and have overweight my whole life.
