agw504 0 Posted August 16, 2008 I was banded two days ago in Richmond at St Marys Hospital. I am feeling great. It has been much easier than I thought. I have been walking at least 3 times a day for about 10 minutes or so each time and that has helped alot with gas. I have only taken my pain meds to sleep, not necessarily for pain. cmdagf99 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Hey there Im from Va was just banded in Charlottesville Va on August 12th by Dr. Michael Trahan....It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be...Im still on liquids and I am actually down 17lbs from the morning of surgery. Im sure its all Water weight but thats ok Ill take it any way I can get it......The gas was bad, I also had a hiatal hernia repair so I think maybe some of my pain had to do with that also....Good luck with your band.... Betsygirl 0 Posted August 17, 2008 The city that I live in - Martinsville - doesn't do the surgery. I could have went to Roanoke, but they wanted you to be on a diet for 6 months.
