Cassandra_B 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Hi. I'm really worried. I was banded July 8th. In the three weeks after first starting on solid foods before getting filled, I put on 3 k's. I'm worried that I ate too much, and have since stretched the stomach above the band. But whilst I was eating solids, I never felt any discomfort. Is it possible to have stretched there already?! Also, I got my first fill on Wednesday, and I still feel hungry and eat a lot. I've got the largest band in me, and so far 6 mills is in it! I'm just scared that after all that has happened, that I have ruined it already!
Susanna 0 Posted August 16, 2008 I don't think you should worry. After the band, once the swelling goes down, there will not be much restriction so a lot of people put on weight to start with. You have had one fill, but it has obviously not reached the 'sweet spot' yet. You will get there, and I wish you all the best. I am waiting for my first fill on the 29th. It has been so hard to cope without it.

innwtitdtity 57 Posted August 17, 2008 I was banded on 7/8 as well. I go for my third follow up appt on Tues. I thought this would be a fill appt, but at the last appt the covering surgeon (mine was on vacation) said that I may not need a fill, only if I am not loosing weight. Well, I have lost two pounds, so I am not sure if I will get the fill or not. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
Blaze21 5 Posted August 17, 2008 I was also baned on July 8th and had my first fill on Aug 14th. I don't feel any restriction or any differently than before being banded. I go for my 2nd fill on the 28th. hopefully there will be some restriction.
zeama 0 Posted August 17, 2008 I also had surgery on July 8 and just got my first fill last week. I still have hunger, but it's not as bad. It gets frustrating to see it not come off as fast it does in the beginning, but just remember that this is a slow process. Keep eating those small meals, and make sure you're eating high Protein so you'll feel full longer.
