The last couple of months I've noticed that I've been tighter at my TOM. I've spoken to some people that this affects and some it doesn't. I'm just curious...

I am super tight during that TOM. I always lose at least 2 -3 pounds that week.

I don't notice a difference during TOM. I wish I did though, I'd love to lose a couple of pounds during TOM. Unfortunately, I usually gain because my craving are OFF THE CHART during TOM! Ughhh

I am not tighter at all, but I am definitely a couple of pounds heavier, crankier, and more prone to cravings for things like chocolate.

Heather - Cranky doesn't even begin to describe me. Linda Blair comes to mind...oh I'm awful! The only time I want chocolate is that time of month though. I seem to gain the Water weight, but I'm so tight I can't eat hardly...it's so unfair. Chocolate does go down quite well though.

Ok, i'm having problems right now. I started on sat. and my stomach hurts so bad. I have really bad gas. i feel like someone inflated my stomach with gas and they are squeezing my stomach! I have only had 1 feel so i'm not really sure what feeling tight is like so do you think that might be my problem?

To all of you that responded to the poll, did you notice if you got tighter during your TOM even before your first fill? I am 3 days post op, but noticed today (at the start of TOM:angry_smile:) that although my liquids are going down, they aren't going down as easy. Just curious to know the answer to that.

It was after I had some restriction that I noticed.

But my fills came right about my TOM lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
