Gracey 7 Posted August 29, 2008 Sounds like you need to "work" at home tomorrow. Tell me about it!!! That's what I'm doing. I'm getting my hair cut and re-pinked in the afternoon. Shh, don't tell anyone. You have pink hair? That is SO not what I envisioned, Miz Mac!!!
MacMadame 81 Posted August 29, 2008 Really? It's not totally pink. I just have pink highlights. I think they go good with my grey -- which was coming in strong at the temples but not so strong everywhere else. The pink makes it look streaky everywhere but without the fake blonde streaks that scream "I'm trying to hide my gray". Um, can you tell I've thought about this way too much?
Gracey 7 Posted August 29, 2008 Ha - just a teensy bit! Lord I wish you could explain the whole coloring business to my boss. It's a hot mess!
MacMadame 81 Posted August 29, 2008 I actually stopped doing it because after a while the pink highlights made my hair look red or even orange. So I grew them out. But I'm ready to do it again.
plain 12 Posted August 29, 2008 Mac, your weightloss will eventually render your hair color choices moot anyway....
MacMadame 81 Posted August 29, 2008 But it will grow back. That's my hair philosophy... it's just hair -- it grows back. Hey, maybe I can do the blue at the 2 month mark and then at the 3 month mark when it starts to fall out, that will help me transition back to pink! Now why didn't I think of that?! Nevah!! Those silver streaks are just extra blonde bits!! :cursing: They're not greys at all!

The pink is very obviously fake so that's why it works for me.
Numbrgirl 0 Posted September 6, 2008 I feel so fortunate when I come across a thread that has some of my favorite lap-band role models involved in it!! The rants about having to really work at this whole endeavor (and that includes exercise) just serve to keep me motivated. I have to admit that sometimes I allow my days to get so full that I let exercise get pushed out of the whole equation but each time I walk by my treadmill or eliptical, I feel like I just want to abandon everything and jump on one of them......... I guess when your body starts to crave it, its a good thing. Whenever I go without exercise, my weight loss is so much slower. I wholeheartedly believe in "muscle memory" and find that my body responds so well to this exercise and reminds me of my younger days when I was much more fit and trim. I am working my way back there and hope that by the time my next b-day (2/22) rolls around, I will have given myself a 100+ pound loss as the ultimate gift. My doctor thinks if I keep going at the pace I am moving, it might before then!! I have no quarrel with that!! Thanks for all the encouragement, insight, and input!!
