LoriEmbree 0 Posted August 14, 2008 Ok, so I'm new to LapBandTalk. I live in Idaho, and I am planning on having lapband surgery sometime in September. I've finished all the requirements, and I am now waiting on the insurance company to do their thing. What was the HARDEST thing for you about the surgery? (before, during, after, etc?) I'm really nervous, and I have about talked myself out of it a million times. I guess I need people to tell me it's worth it and why! :tongue_smilie:
areellady 1 Posted August 14, 2008 #1...Welcome to you from a fellow Idahoan!!! #2....It is more worth it than words can say. When you can live your life again and not have to watch all the fun things your family does....and knowing you will be able to watch your family finish growing up....priceless... I grew up in St. Anthony!!! My parents still live there!!! Good luck....
LoriEmbree 0 Posted August 14, 2008 You grew up in St. Anthony? Where? Tell me details, maybe we know each other, or know some of the same people! Your slide show is amazing! I can't even imagine. I had to realize that I am truly addicted to food. How am I going to do this!?
krtork 0 Posted August 15, 2008 Welcome! You will find a lot of very useful information here as well as a lot of support from people that know exactly what you are going through! I am newly banded and I am so happy I have had this done! I agree with Deanna, this is an opportunity to lose the weight and get to do the things you have always wanted to do, to not have to watch life from the sidelines. Number one is knowing that you will be healthy and be around to watch your children grow up and to grow old with your spouse! I don't want to miss that! A couple of weeks ago I also realized that I was losing this weight for the last time! I don't have to lose and gain, lose and gain. The weight will be gone forever! It does take a lot work and I know that, but I am at a point where I want to get healthy and get my life back! Good luck to you with your decision, I vote Lapband!
