slomo 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Hi: I am 6 days out and waiting for my first post op appointment which is tomorrow. I have not had pain since 3 days out, but boy am I uncomfortable. I think the best way to handle the lap band is to stop eating. I am currently on Clear liquids until my appointment. But most of the liquids on the approved list are so sweet. Decaf iced tea is my standby. I am trying to get down the protien shakes because I know they are important I also am eating tons of ice chips. My biggest problem is at night when I lay down I feel very constricted in the chest area. I hope my Dr. will let me eat more variety after tomorrow. slo
Momto5 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Did you have a hiatal hernia fixed? I did and can really tell when I breathe deeply. The hernia goes into your diaphram, that would explain breathing issues. I am sure you'll get some answers tomorrow.
losingjusme 12 Posted August 14, 2008 have you tried chicken broth? that would help solve the 'sweet' problem and it should have some Protein. try to look for low sodium.
