wishiwas 0 Posted August 12, 2008 I was approved and banned last Tuesday (August 5th) and I have Cigna insurance. What kind of bill should I expect to see? Did you just have to pay for an emergency room visit or did they hit you with all kinds of non-sence charges like emergency room tech, and 1 injection needle and 1 face mask etc. Like how much did you have to pay when it was all said and done. Did they bill you or did you have to pay up front?
Emilie1 3 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi, I also have Cigna, but have not been banded yet. I have a few more test before it is sent for approval. Anyway, I think what you pay is based on what type of plan you have. My plan will cover everything, all I pay is Dr copays and a hospital copay. Cigna should be able to tell you exactly what you will have to pay. I have called them a million times to check on what I need to qualify and they have always been easy to talk to. Good luck. odizzydori 0 Posted August 12, 2008 I have cigna also. The hospital submitted a claim and it is still pending. I was banded on April 21, 2008. They havent paid anything as of yet. Go onto their website and watch your claims carefully. Cause they have denied a few claims and had to run them back through because I am covered. I still have a claim pending back to november 2007 for my psyc eval. Another reason to watch it carefully is if the doc send something under the wrong code it wont get paid. I have to pay my copay and then 20 of what is left.

cathychatts 1 Posted August 13, 2008 Hi: I have Cigna (Open Access) I had a $100 co pay at the hospital and they gave me a 20% discount for paying at the pre-op, so I paid $80. Then I got a refund from the hospital for the $80, because I did same-day surgery and had no co-pay. I have had a $25 co-pay at the surgeon's office twice, so that is $50 total. My surgeon give 90 day follow-up included! Cigna has been GREAT! A nurse even called and checked on me the next day and again after the 1st month. Good luck on your surgery!
