wrestlingmom 0 Posted August 12, 2008 I have noticed that a lot you say that you either are eating low carb, or you comment that possibly someone should eat low carb, if they are not losing enough weight, but I cannot find anything that tells me what my limitations on carbs should be. I got packets of paper from my Dr and I cannot find anywhere in there, an estimate on where your carbs should be for a day. I know that all Dr's have different diets, but I was wondering what seems to work for you all.:whatchutalkingabout
Melody2006 1 Posted August 12, 2008 My surgeon said no more than 100 grams of carbs daily. I also don't eat white carbs (sugar, flour, rice, bread & potatoes)
snowbird 2 Posted August 12, 2008 My doctor didn't give me any carb rules other than eating everything else first, which makes me quit eating before I get to them. But when I do count my carbs, I try to stay under 100 too.
Lanakila 1 Posted August 12, 2008 My dietician, who specializes in wls, recommended 50-70g Protein and no more than 50g carbs a day. She said that when I am properly restricted, and when I eat the Proteins first, keeping the carbs down to 50g shouldn't be a problem unless I'm eating white carbs such as white bread and refined sugars.
