ok i need some advise, or information from some people who have found there "sweet spot". How do you know? I think i am very close and somedays i can eat alot less than others and feel just fine with that other days i can eat anything in the room.... Is it where you have that every day that you can only eat somethings and little amounts all the time... or is this imaginary and not going to happen all the time? any help would be apreciated. this is really the first restriction i have had and it came 3 weeks after my last fill.

Girlfriend I feel for you. If you can eat 1-3 oz at a time or no more than 1/2 cup of food you have good restriction. If you can eat 1 cup and still lose no worries, stick to that. For me its less. It took me 45 minutes to eat a small chicken breast and about `1/2 to 3/4 cup of salad today and I was fine for almost 3 hours. I like to be tight and I typically lose 1-2 lbs so that is good. You just have to see how you do with the PBing and stuff like that. If I eat too much or too fast I am in trouble. Last night I ate 1 tablespoon or rice, 3 slices of zuchinni and about 1-2 oz of chicken okay. It took me about 30 minutes. No PB.

Girlfriend, you are not even close. PM me if you want more details. I eat 1-2 oz at a time. It took me litterally 45 minutes today to get down 3 oz of Protein and about 1/2 cup of salad. My doctor said with good restriction 1/2 egg is enough, yikes!

Hi, I've been reading the posts and I'm really confused! I've only been banded for a week so I'm still new to this, but can someone please tell me what the "sweet spot" is????

Kath.:confused2:

the "sweet spot" is the place where you are filled just enough that you loose alot of weight and do not feel hungry often. I haven't reached this point yet so that is the best i can discribe it lol

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
