Has anyone tried dipping pretzels into laughing cow cheese wedges?

That is if they still eat pretzels. I'll be sad if my band can't handle them when I get it. :wink2:

laughing cow cheese wedges?:wink2:

that's pretty healthy.

if and when i've felt like a dipping pretzel -it's either in nutella or jarred queso.

maybe eventually you'll be able to eat pretzels after your banded.

I spread Laughing Cow cheese on Melba Toast wafers. Easy to chew and easy to get down. The wafers come in a few different flavors and are 60 cal. for 5. Don't think I am willing to try pretzels. Was a favorite but don't miss them.

ostrich jerky - i get it thru my trainer and it's much easier to eat than beef jerky.

one stick is 60 calories & 17 grams of Protein..., i typically get this after a really hard workout.

I think I can still eat them - I've tried to avoid them though because they are something that pre-band I could just sit and eat blindly.

I LOVE LAUGHING COW CHEESE! My favorite way to eat it comes from an old 70's era classic appetizer (I warn you it does not sound appetizing but tastes amazing)

spread laughing cow cheese on a thin slice of hard salami and then place a mini sweet gerkhin pickle (mt olive makes one made with splenda) and roll up and enjoy - it satisfies all my creamy rich, salty, sweet cravings and the pickle gives it a little crunch.

Trust me I know how it sounds - but oohh so good!:whatchutalkingabout

pretzels here are a little crisp baked snack, typical pretzel shape but crunchy and come in a packet like chips. They had a franchise out here that did the big soft bready type pretzels but it didnt do well here.

But I did just eat 2 laughing cow cheese wedges. I buy them for the kids' lunchboxes, but man, I love those things.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
