flxbl1 0 Posted August 11, 2008 Hi all! I'm Lisa. I live near Seattle and I was banded in early January of this year. I've lost 42 pounds so far and am happy with that. I spent a couple of months not getting a fill (when I needed it) because I love to eat.... go figure. I feel the pendulum swinging in the exercise direction for me. I went from being a marathon runner in 2003/2004 to no exercise at all since then so this getting back into exercise and learning to be consistent with it again is my next challenge. I'm looking forward to all of the support and inspiration that I know I will find here! Lisa

daisybug 0 Posted August 11, 2008 HI LISA ! Congrats on your accomplishments.. It's quite a journey for us. I am STILL getting used to & accepting the fact that it will be slower weight loss for us compared to bypass patients. They can tell me until they are blue in the face, but I still get disappointed when the scale moves so slow. I am 8 months out and have lost 50 lbs. WHICH IS GREAT! so why do I expect more? i dunno.. lol. I am still learning about myself. I have had a total of 4 fills 4.5 cc in a 10 cc band. I am in need of another fill but I have really enjoyed NOT p.b.'ing . Super tight is not for me. Vomiting sucks! good luck! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Sweetmeat 0 Posted August 11, 2008 Congrats on your weight loss, no matter the amount job well done. I had surgery in Feb. 08 and have lost over 70 pounds, but I really can relate to happy not pbing and vomiting. :wink2: That is not for me.
