FallsTooFast 0 Posted August 10, 2008 I think it happens to everyone eventually, you will slip up and eat something too fast or something just wont go down. Jachut took the words out of my mouth! It is inevitable!! Sorry to scare you but its the truth. Also, the band has a mind of its own. One day_ something works fine and the next day_ up it comes??? However, I do think this happens down the road (if everything is ok) You will get a fill, find your sweet spot, and when you are not paying attention you will have your first experience I have gotten very creative when out in public and trying to "look normal" by using my napkin, blaming it on indigestion etc... But sometimes I have to excuse myself and go to the restroom...just in case! To answer one of your questions...sometimes it comes without warning (maybe happened twice in 1 year) so you could be anywhere! Although, it is like nothing you have ever experienced. It isn't pleasant but it isn't/wasn't for me like the way you think of throwing up......its throwing up, just different! :confused2: Remember....CHEW CHEW CHEW....SLOOOOOOOW DOOOOOWWWWN :crying:
mnn2501 0 Posted August 10, 2008 I have never thrown up since surgery back in Feb and have lost 50#. my wife who was banded in March throws up often and has lost 60# Personally, I think the difference is chewing, she disagree's but I have watched her while she eats, she gets distracted and falls into old habits of trying to swallow too big a bite. I'm NOT saying everyone who pukes does this, but its been my observation with my wife.
