Leslie, Thanks for all of the great information!! I am being banded on Oct 7 and it is so helpful to go in knowing all of this ahead of time. Just to be mentally prepared for what is coming is huge. I would have never expected to be hungry after surgery until I read it on this website but I am so glad that I know and am prepared.

Thanks to all that have already been through this for making it easier on the people who are going into it. I hope I am able to do the same someday.

you have great info, thanks. have you every heard of a pt having blood in their urine after surgery?? i did and then my dr said i have blood in my pre-op labs and needed to see a urologist asap, any advice?

Julie - I haven't heard of that happening. I think you can get blood in your urine after a cathedar is removed. I had that occur after my second daughter was born. You definately need to see a specialist to get checked out. I'd call your doctor to get a referral or call a Urologist to set up an appointment.
