I am eating my lunch right now and having a DEEEEEE-Licious one. It is an Amy's brand entree called the Sante Fe Enchilada Bowl.

It is packed with goodness and real ingredients.

350 calories. 16 grams of Protein. 9 grams of Fiber. 11g of fat, 2 which are saturated. 10% of Calcium, 40% of Vitamin C, 20% of Iron.< /p>

You can find it in the healthy food/ vegetarian option frozen section of the super market.

I have had it two days in a row. YUUUUUUUUUM!

Also (and I can believe I saying this) but cottage cheese done the right way is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. 1/2 cup with 1 equal packet and cut up peach slices (sugar free of course). Such a nice snack.< /p>

So what good finds can everyone recommend? Do share! recipes are great also.

It is just hubby and I, so I picked up a couple of Bertolli Mediterranian Style skillet bags that serve 2. I've had the Steak & Portobello Mushroom, and the chicken, Rigatoni and Broccoli. Easy peasy to make, and they were really good! I am the biggest cottage cheese fan right now! I need to buy stock in Breakstones because I am always purchasing their LiveActive 4 packs. I love the 4 oz. containers. I like my cottage cheese all "nekkid."

My doctor gave me a sheet of recipes that use the AmazeRX vanilla Protein shake powder I buy from him, but I like the taste so much that I haven't tried those yet. When I do, I'll share the ones that "work."

I have a South Beach cookbook that I was given for my birthday that I haven't even used yet. As soon as school starts I'll try out some recipes to share. What a great idea, greythope!

I am not much of a cook. I just wanted to say I have eaten Breakstone's cottage cheese for years. I also like it nekkid. I have found that I eat less if I eat meat and a vegetable as opposed to a casserole type dish. I think it is because it is more solid food. I have been eating beef with steamed broccoli. Since I am not much of a cook, I am not picky about what I eat. I open a bag of frozen broccoli and put some in a container with some butter spray and microwave it at lunchtime. I love to put low fat granola in my yogurt and the nutritionist said this helps it stay in the pouch longer so it is a good thing.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
