shrinkingpamela 17 Posted August 13, 2008 hi pamelai was wondering what doc you use... i live near you in florida... thanks for your insight I went to Dr Hargroder in Baton Rouge, LA. I was looking for someone in driving distance who had lots of experience with the sleeve and he fit the bill. Also, I was self pay and his fees were within reason. bren 1 Posted September 4, 2008 Hi can you tell me what your diet is like. I am 3 weeks out from my sleeve and now eating anything. My loss has stalled. Thanks jlweb55 ps I love the sleeve. Not sure who this was addressed to, but I'm 7 weeks out now. I have heard that 3 weeks is a common time to stall because we are adding mushies and more solid food. For me I had one stall at 4 weeks, but it coincided with a week's vacation and I did not drink my Water, get my Protein, and I just grazed all day long that week. That is the only week that I did not lose weight. What I do now is I eat 3 meals a day plus 2 Protein drinks (as per my surgeon's instructions). My meals are low carb, I eat Protein first, then veggies. The first 6 months are the best time to lose the most weight, so to me it is worth it to concentrate on changing my habits and not eating the foods that made me fat in the first place. Just my 2 cents!
jlweb55 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Thanks for the advise, I think that is a good diet and I should be on it too. I think since it was 3 weeks yesterday and I had not had solid food for over a month I just went crazy eating even when I was not hungry just for the taste. I have to get over it and move on. I was glad to hear that it is common to stall at 3 or 4 weeks. I was very worried. thanks Judy
