luv2bslim 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi, After reading for days, I think I've pretty much decided on Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. I've received what I feel is an amazing price compared to the U.S. My doctor here quoted me $15,000 cash pay and fills aren't included. Anyway, my question is this......Can anyone tell me the best company to use for financing this procedure? I've been give a bunch of brochures about different companies, but would love some first hand information. Thanks in advance for your help!

TheGh0st 9 Posted August 6, 2008 After doing much research the best option I actually found was a credit card that was willing to give me a promotional rate of 3.9% for 4 years on a transferred balance. So I paid for it with a frequent flier credit card I had which gave me nearly enough miles for a free plane ticket then transferred the balance over to the new card. The key to using a credit card for something like this is to one NEVER use the card for anything else as any payment made will be applied to the lower interest rate balance first and the new purchases would be at a much higher interest rate. Secondly, immediately set up an autopay system with the credit card so that the minimum amount due is paid each month automatically. You want to pay more than the minimum each month obviously but if you are ever late on a payment they immediately raise the interest rate on your remaining balance. So by having the minimum setup on autopay you never have to worry about being late on a payment and having the interest rate go up.
health4life 0 Posted August 9, 2008 (edited) I'm being banded for $13,000 with free fills for 2 years. Try CareCredit www.carecredit.com Edited August 9, 2008 by health4life
Totallytater 1 Posted August 9, 2008 Don't forget about Dr. Kirshenbaum in Colorado. Just under $10,000 and includes free fills for 3 months, then fills are just $15. His office is only about 15 minutes from a major airport (DEN) so flights are pretty reasonable from most places. And he is FANTASTIC!!!
