whole wheat pizza crust recipe

Recommended Posts

I don't have a Pizza Crust recipe, but you can use a whole wheat pita, split to make 2 rounds, as your crust. You can even use the smaller ones for a single serving if you don't want to share!

I have a recipe for pizza crust and you can just replace the regular flour with whole wheat flour. No need to let it rise! I suggest using a LARGE 14" pizza pan though, or else cut the recipe in half because it becomes too doughy.

3 cups whole wheat four

1 (.25 oz) package of dry active yeast

2 TBLS vegetable oil

1 tsp of salt

1 TBLS white sugar

1 cup warm Water (110 degrees F)

1 TBLS Extra virgin olive oil

1. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm Water. Spread out on a large pizza pan. Top as desired.

2. Bake at 375 degrees C (190 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.

If you have a Trader Joe's where you live, you may be able to find it in dough form. They sell it here where I live.

I did this last night and it was SUPER good!

I used a whole grain wrap out of the deli section at Walmart. It was low car high Fiber.. so I think it was 60 calories and 9 Protein.

I actually cooked in on the stove top for a section to firm it up a bit. I put about 4-5 tablespoons of contandina pizza sauce and sprinkled basil on it. Spread out about 1/2 cup mozzy then top with whatever you like.

I used:

2 slices of Breakfast ham chopped

chopped onion

green peppers

mushrooms

I put it in the oven and baked it for about 10 minutes at 450.. it was to die for and it made about 4 meals

This is a dish you could make really high in Protein very easily.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
