micatee 0 Posted August 5, 2008 I have a surgeon's appointment the day after tommorrow and I have been researching WLS for a number of years....but have decided to go with the band if possible....other than the usual questions to ask about the surgeons experience (going to the Cleveland Clinic), things to expect, testing before surgery etc, is there one question that YOU as a BANDER didn't ask that you wished you would have asked before your decision to get banded??? Laurinda 1 Posted August 6, 2008 Hey there!!! I am sure there were tons of things I didn't ask lol but this board has really answered things that have come up for me. One thing that is great is if you don't think to ask the doc...you can always post here and some one will help you out!!! Good-Luck to you!!!!
JamieNP 20 Posted August 6, 2008 Here are some questions that I asked my surgeon: 1. What are your incidence of band slippage? 2. What are your incidence of port displacement? 3. What are your incidence of MRSA? 4. How often do you fill? and what are the post op visits? 5. If I ever become hospitalized, can I have an NG tube placed? 6. When you do your fills, do you do it under flouroscopy or xray? 7. Who does the fills? 8. What is the most common cause of being unsuccessful in weight loss for your patients (he said "ice cream")
