OMG!!! That is amazing. I wish I could be a motivated runner...I have NEVER been a runner even when I was REALLY FIT dancing 3 times a week and bball 2 times a week! I wonder how you can train yourself to be one!?

I think that guy had a link on his blog page that said something about a Couch to 5K program? I told myself to go back and look at that, but didn't do it yet. Typical!

I once told my old boss that "I don't run unless a rabid dog is chasing me".

Maybe I will change my mind once I lose some weight and walking gets boring.:w00t:

That is amazing! I can't even imagine running at this point. I used to run in high school and I loved it, but that was many moons ago!

My husband runs and really wants me to run with him, maybe I will be able to run. A lot will change in this next year.

In the past though I have tended to play team sports and could run on a bball court for ages and those dance classes were intense workouts. I was doing at least 5 hours a week dancing and 2 hours bball and I was very fit! But have me run a 3 k fun run and I struggled...go figure!

I'll be giving it a red hot go once I lose enough for it to be comfortable and after I've bought a good sports bra!:w00t:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
