mumof2 0 Posted August 5, 2008 My Dr's information says to go on a low calorie diet such as Optifast. What is the Optifast diet? Is it 3 shakes a day and no food? I used to do Tony Fergusson and he said I could do that but that is 2 shakes and a meal. I was just wondering if i shoudl just have 3 shakes and no meals. I want to do the very best thing I can before the op. Thanks.
Luscious 1 Posted August 5, 2008 The different phases of the Optifast diet should be shown on their website... www.optifast.com.au or should be included with your Optifast purchase. Good luck.
nat36 2 Posted August 6, 2008 I stuck with 2 Optifast shakes or a bar a day and one cup of cooked vegies at night for 2 weeks.
Sunwyse 1 Posted August 7, 2008 If your doctor said Tony Ferguson was OK, then just do that. But don't do 3 TF shakes and no food. The two diets are calculated completely differently. Optifast is designed to only have that 3 times a day, where as TF you need to have that 3rd meal of food.< /p> I did Optifast about 3 years ago for 5 weeks. I did 2 shakes a day and then just a normal meal in the evening (with small portions of course). It worked well that way. Just go with whatever the doc says.
