tflynn 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Hello everyone, I just had surgery almost 3 weeks ago. I'm eating soft foods. Some go down better then others. I just started excercising again this weekend. My endurance is still low, I'm working my way back up to 30 min. I've lost about 15lbs. All in the first two weeks. This week I seem to be just maintaing my current weight. I'm just starting to get hungry. I'm following the diet very carfully. I can't have my first fill for 90 days. Wish me luck staying on the diet.
Melody2006 1 Posted August 4, 2008 Congrats, tflynn! Tomorrow I'm 3 weeks post-opt too. I was banded on 7/15/08 Do you count calories or keep a food journal? You'd be suprised at how much that helps. What are you doing for exercize? I'm currently eating between 800-1200 calories a day and keeping track on thedailyplate.com For exercize I do 12,000 steps a day (at least 30 minutes of those being continous to raise my heart rate) and keep a pedometer in my pocket at all times. My surgeon says when I hit the 6 week mark I can do weights. I bought some home exercize stuff at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for great prices and can't wait to try it all out at the 6 week mark. Even treated myself to new balance walking shoes ($33 at tjmaxx)
tflynn 0 Posted August 22, 2008 Melody2006, Hey sorry I didn't reply right away, I've been on vacation. It sounds like you off to a great start. Keep up the great work! I'm still maintaining my weight. I'll be down a few pounds and then up a few pounds. I think I need to up my workouts to an hour. Stay motivated!
