COLONICS after LAP BAND SURGERY

Recommended Posts

Is colonics safe after lap band surgery? I go to a great clinic that offers much more than just colonics in Indianapolis and I would ideally like to continue.

What EXACTLY do they do for a "colonic"? I have an idea, but suspect I may be off a bit. Does it hurt?

It doesn't hurt at all. A small rectal nozzle is inserted at the entrance of the rectum that disperses warm Water into your colon that helps with Constipation, diarrhea, acute fecal impaction, colitis, diverticulosis, parasitic, infections, a toxic colon, bowel stimulation, flatulence or bloating, mild hemorrhoids, and intestinal toxemia. The clinic offers other services as well. If you would like to see what services they offer their website is Welcome to Cleansing Waters, Indianapolis, Colonic Hydrotherapy, Detox Foot Spa, Body Ecology Diet I love the SOQI BED and want the Ionized Water system. Check it out. Colonics is the BEST!!!

How much does this type of thing cost? $50, $200, $1,000??? I have no clue. I've had such a change in my bowel movements since being banded, I think this would be something that would help me, but a bit afraid of it.

There is also a mucoid plaque cleanse and the so easy cleanse which are different from the colonic bed, with Water tank. I have enclosed a photo so you can see the equipment. The first 2 cleanses are things you can do at home. I've not done the home remedy, but I'm going to do it in conjunction with colonics. It's the greatest feeling and once you have them regularly, your body tells you when you need one. It is recommended to do 2 back to back and then 1 per week for the next 6 weeks then back off to 1 every 2 to 3 months. It's wonderful.

Oh by the way, with the mucoid plaque cleanse, my wellness center has examples of what came out of a client. I saw it and was amazed that such crap could be inside of a persons intestines and colon. Also, on a funny note, I went in to do a colonic one day and the owner asked me if I I was ready to go "POOP"! ;-) LOL

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
