Shan71 0 Posted August 8, 2008 I am so jealous. You have done great. I have lost 52 since starting but had lost 20 getting ready for the surgery. What is working so well for you?
christasha 0 Posted August 10, 2008 You're doing GREAT! I lost 16 before surgery . . .but I count it in what's I've lost . . . so we just about the same . . . if you aren't ahead of me! i'm hoping for fill #3 on the 20th! that will put me at 2.5 in my 10cc band. Keep up the good work! Chris
Shan71 0 Posted August 11, 2008 Chris, Thanks for the support. I have had 3 fills, the last being on 5/22/2008 and have 4.5cc in a 10 cc band. I have been thinking strongly about going in for another fill-though I am restricted as I have put on the other posts with Proteins, veggies and fruits. I am kind of torn. Good luck and keep up the great work. Shannon
divaofsongs 42 Posted August 15, 2008 Hello everyone, I had no idea this area even existed, lol. Glad I found it. Here are my stats 8 months out. Banded on December 13, 2007 by Dr. Kirshenbaum in Denver, Co with a 14CC APL Large Lap-Band. I have had a total of 6 fills and I am now at 10.25cc's. My restriction is fairly good, although it has been diminishing the past few weeks so I think it is time for another fill soon. I have one scheduled on Aug 26th. I have lost a total of 110 pounds so far and I still have 126 pounds left to lose but I feel GREAT! I have survived mostly on high Protein and low carbs. My diet consists of mainly baked fish, chicken, tuna salad, Protein shakes, scrambled eggs and lots of veggies. I rarely eat Pasta, bread, potatoes, sugar, starches, and other high-carb foods. When I do, my weight loss stalls so I stay away from them. I am hoping to be at goal by next December. Thanks for all the encouraging updates. Keep up the great work everyone. Shan71 0 Posted August 15, 2008 It is amazing to see how far some people have come. Miss, when I look at what you have been eating versus myself, it is no wonder I haven't lost more. It is very inspiring to read the positive responses. I hope that i can get into some kind of groove. Good luck to all and way to go.
