mom2twins 0 Posted August 4, 2008 This is a very good recipe that is easy to make. I will post the original recipe here and you can change whatever to meet your needs. I cut is into a fourth for myself, you can use sugar free/fat free items or even change the flavor and the fruit. It is good for the soft or mushie stages also. Mandarin Orange Salad 2 large boxes orange Jell-O 1 small container cottage cheese (small curd) 3 large containers Cool Whip 4 cans mandarin oranges, drained well In large bowl mix Jell-O and cottage cheese. Fold in Cool Whip and oranges:saving some for the top if desired. Refridgerate covered for about 30 minutes. This recipe is for a large quanitity. When the lady I got this from brought it to church for put lucks it was never enough. She even doubled this a few times and it still went before any of the main dishes did. Enjoy!!:biggrin2:

sandiegokate 0 Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) This is a recipe we always have around the holidays, and we add crushed pineapple to it also.... and, we used more cottage cheese, less cool whip than you have above. AND.. my mom started adding non-fat dry milk in place of part of the cool whip to add more Protein a while back, it works great... wonder if you could add Protein powder instead? Hmmmm...? Good to take to work for lunch.. Edited July 27, 2009 by sandiegokate
