The one thing

Recommended Posts

What is the one thing that you absolutely want to do after you lose all the weight. I don't mean things like keep up with kids, shop at any store, but things that you never, ever, ever thought you would be able to do.

My one thing is SCUBA dive. As soon as I lose my 127 pounds I am going to get SCUBA certified.

I have always wanted to do this but knew there was no way I could ever get in a wetsuit. Plus, being this chubby I don't think I could sink enough to go all the way under the Water. LOL

My one thing -

Throw my Blood Pressure and Diabetes medicines in the trash.

Not glamorous, but I really started fearing that "it might be the death of me".

To wear a pair of trousers...i know this might sound strange, but i never where trousers because i have knock knees (legs bend in wards) and have always been self concious because of my size. (makes it look even more obvious) so when i do loose weight, to wear a pair of trousers with confidence. haven't worn a pair in over 12 yrs!!

I'd like to ski the black diamond runs - right now I get too tired

also, wear sleeveless blouses in the summer

wear skirts without having to wear pantyhose or a split slip underneath

wear bermuda shorts to work on Fridays in the summer like some of the other ladies do

I want to buy a sexy black dress. I want to no longer hide my body under baggy clothes and be embarrassed andelf conscious about my abdomen.

I want to go for a helicopter ride over volcanoes in Hawaii!!!

I totally understand this!! I wanted to go on a helicopter ride over the Northern Territory a few months back and wouldn't because you had to get weighed before you went in the chopper!

Good luck to all you September Samurai's!!

*I definitely want to get scuba certified and start diving

*I want to hike, go rafting, kayak, and dance to name a few!

A lot of these things I can do a little of now, it is just that I am hoping as my wt. comes off I will be able to be more active work out and rebuild the muscles to really do the things I love with out so much pain. I am betting that my back pain (had spinal fusion in 2000) will decrease with the wt. off and I will be get STRONG AND HAVE LESS PAIN!!!

That is ultimately what I really want! Just to live a healthy active life!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
