Hi, I'm a newbie

I'm new to this forum and to the whole lap band world. I have just recently done research and made the decision to get the surgery done and get healthy. I am in the process of finding the right doctor and place to do this. Any help, advice, suggestions, and comments would be appreciated!

I am 60 years old, obese and have numerous health issues, most of which I know would be at least partially relieved by losing weight. Nothing else seems to work for me anymore. I lost 100 pounds 5-6 years ago, and have since gained most of it back. Need to lose a total of about 150 pounds or more. so..... HELP!!!

I'm glad to have found this forum. Looking forward to hearing from some of you.

Welcome Lois Ruth!!! Read and read and read about the lap band. Know everything there is to know about it. That is my best advice to you!! Good luck, you will be happy you did it. Just know all the facts!!

I AM ON HERE TO MEET PEOPLE AND TO HAVE SUPPORT FROM PEOPLE THAT ARE OR WAS GOING THRU THE SAME CHALLENGES I AM GOING THRU. I WENT TO MY ORIENTATION BACK IN JUNE I HAVE MY APPOINMENT WITH THE SURGEON ON 9/15. I CANT WAIT TO GET THE PROCESS STARTED. I HAVE BEEN READING A LOT OF THE POST AND YOU GUYS ARE TRULY AND INSPIRATION TO ME:thumbup:
