NanaB 0 Posted July 28, 2008 Last week was a whirlwind of a week. I took myself to the hospital for the next step to a healthy life. The surgery area does not hurt; however, my shoulders are putting up a fuss. I guess that is from the gas used during surgery. I look forward to learning from this forum and blog. Barbiek 0 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi NanaB, The shoulder pain is from the gas. It takes a couple of weeks but it will get better. Keep walking as much as you can. Gas-X strips can help too. I am almost 4 weeks post op and feel great! Good luck to you on your weightloss journey!
mtnman428 1 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi NanaB, I just had surgery on 7/24/08. So far (knock on wood!) I have not had too much shoulder pain. Just some mild discomfort at times. I think that the whole walking suggestion really is the key, and I also took 2 gas-x strips every 4 hours or so (just in-case). I just walked slowly-no marathon needed. Hope this helps.
