Do you eat breakfast???

Recommended Posts

I seem to be just opposite from most bandsters; I have to eat Breakfast, but am very tight at night - possibly from the stress of work all day and because it's very hot in my house when I get home. I like microwaved eggs on weekends, with some cheese; I just got my first fill three days ago and am trying to figure out how to get lots of Protein in for Breakfast. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury shakes may be a good idea.

Any other ideas for high Protein breakfasts on weekdays?

I have been trying to eat a very runny scrambled egg in the morning but have not been able to tolerate it; wonder if I should try skipping breakfast as so many say they cannot tolerate anything in the morning & just stick to a Protein Shake? ??

Anybody else have problems with eggs?

My stomach has always been that way. If i eat breakfast I am hungry all day long! Since the band I maybe eat something b4 work 2-3 times a week-and then it is a small bowl of cheerios and skim milk! Other wise it will be lunch b4 I eat!

4 me,

I haven't been able to eat eggs since my surgery almost 2 yrs ago no matter if I am extremely tight or completely loose. I miss them sometimes too. That doesn't mean you will always have a problem with them though.

I have a small bowl of soupy oatmeal every morning and then my coffee about a half hour later. Helps with my equillibrium. I generally don't try eating until 9 or 10 in the morning as i'm pretty tight up to that point. A nice cup of warm Water with lemon juice tends to help this first thing, so by the time I actually have my oatmeal it goes down easier.

Right now i'm pretty tight (bless Dr. Maese in Dallas!!!). I have a great fill and am as close to my 'sweet spot' as i've ever been so its good that i've been able to have breakfast in the morning.

I'm glad I read this thread. I am finally on real foods (as opposed to full liquids) and not yet filled. I am having trouble finding high Protein foods for breakfast other than eggs. Unlike most of you, I am hungry in the morning and find that if I eat a fairly large breakfast than I am not so hungry later in the day. Anyone have more suggestions for high protein breakfast foods - I don't like hot cereals. Thanks

I am also on the night shift and there is no set schedule as to when

I eat my meals. I usually wake up about 3pm then have dinner with

the family. Then around 12:30am I have my lunch and have a small

meal when I'm home around 7:30am. I haven't been banded yet. Aug.

3 is the big day. Maybe after the band things will change I'm so messed

up now with broken sleep. Sometimes I eat just to try and stay awake.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
