My cell got ran over by a car yesterday and destroyed! So I lost all my numbers, but I have Penni's home number memorized. I called & woke up John, who is going to call me back with Penni's cell number after he wakes up.

Man O' Man that is seriously one of the worst things to have happen. Thats also why I still don't use a palm pilot- I am way to afraid of losing it or it being destroyed.

Hope all is well Girlfriend!!! Penni's got my info if you need any or anything.

I was smart (finally) and saved my old cell phone, which I usually give to charity. The guy at Verizon saw the busted remains of my mangled phone and felt so bad for me that he transferred all my numbers from my old phone to my husband's old phone. But my old phone was from before I knew Penni, so at least I have most my numbers.

I only had that spiffy new camera phone 15 days. Cha-ching, more money down the drain! Oops.

I guess you didn't have insurance on it?? Sorry. I hate when crap like that happens. I recently switched from Sprint to Nextel and still haven't had time to transfer all my #'s, I just keep my old phone charged and look up a number as I need it, and save it then. I guess I need to take the time to copy each and everyone of them (too bad my old phone didn't have a sim card). Well, keep calling John and get Penni's # for me. Is Lake Wales where her daughter is living? I hope so. I hope she has time to see me. Thanks, DeLarla. Sorry about your phone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
