Children - I'm going to pull my hair out.

Recommended Posts

When I went to pick up my son 7 yr old from his Grandmas yesterday She had a surprise for me. She says what happend to Chalio's eyebrows I told her nothing why? She says look at them, so I did. Both his eyebrows had been shaved. Now I kept my calm cause I thought it was my SIL since she is always trying new things on my kids. Anyway when I asked him what happened he could not remember, Yeah his own eyebrows and he forgot.

Getting home we sat down and I had him tell me the truth, seems when he went to wash up in the morning he saw my razor there in the shower I had just used it that morning and he said that his eyebrows had to much hair so he decided to thin them out. I will have to post a picture later but thin they are not Crooked they are and loopsided too.

My Roxanne shaved her chin 2 years ago....saw my razor on the tub. She had double razor cuts in every picture on our trip to Yosemite. I don't keep razors or scissors within reach anymore, learned my lesson.

I remember chopping my step-sisters hair once. Everytime I would cut one side, the other side would look more crooked so I just kept going. By the end of it the poor girl looked like Moe. Just a small patch on top of her noggin. I think we were about 12 and 14 then.

Thanks for the reminder girls! My kids are 2 and 5 so I'm thinking it's inevitable...I'll be putting away the razors!

That is TOO funny, Mary! Yes, we'd LOVE so see a pic of that one! :)

I try to be careful with the razors, but yesterday my baby son tried to shave my face when he was taking a shower with him. He said "mommy you shave like daddy?" can you believe that, he had that think ready to shave my cheek, yikes!

LOL. The good thing is it was one of those disposable razors but all these years he has never touched it always in the same spot.

I love hearing that my child is not the only one who does crazy things!!

My 9 year old son decide to give himself a reverse mohawk last week, The only problem is he used the dog's face clippers, they are about 2 inches wide, and started right in the front, whe he got about 3 inches back, shaved right to the scalp, the clippers got stuck in hi shair so he had to go get help from big sister. She was laughing so hard she could barely get them out of his hair!!! Now he has a 2x3 inch bald spot right smack dab in the front!!!

Arent kids fun???

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
