Dee66 0 Posted July 23, 2008 Hi. I was banded a week ago and my doctor wants me to start on a chewable mulit tomorrow. Anyone have any suggestions as to which brand is one of the better ones? Thanks so much.

Melody2006 1 Posted July 23, 2008 I had this talk today with my surgeon. In our class they said the chewable Flinstones. At my appt I asked if the chewable centrium was ok because I can't see how a childrens Vitamin is great for an adult. He said thats a great vitamin and he's going to stop recomending the chewable flinstones because thats now outdated from what they've learned about lapbanding. Jennifer77 0 Posted July 23, 2008 I take the Bariatric Advantage Vitaband chewables. They are specially designed for lap-band patients. I also take Bariatric Advantage Calcium lozenges. Because my Dr. said that you should also up your calcium since your bones wont get the good work-out they get currently by lugging all your weight around. Jodi_620 37 Posted July 23, 2008 I take chewable Flintstones too. This same question was asked a little while back and someone said that Flintstone Vitamins were not a good choice and not strong enough for adults. So I asked my surgeon, he said that healthy Children ages 4 and above and healthy adults need the same nutrient amount and the dosage of Flintstones are the same for anyone ages 4 and above. I also take Caltrate Plus D chewable.
