I posted this on the Colorado thread but thought more people would see it here. There was an article about banding in today's Denver Post and it made the front page. Here's a link:

Wow! Great article, anything to get the word out is helpful...although, I love the way they say "refill" like the Fluid leaks out. The comments in the blog after were typical of what people think of overweight people everyday, it really irritates me that people think they can make a snap judgement based on what you look like and that goes for more than just weight...Moe

Thanks for posting this. I also scrolled down to the comments but only for a short moment when I realized it was just more of the same old attitudes.

Since I had read the article this morning in the paper, I just went to the website to get that link, will have to go back and see these comments, or maybe I don't want to.

It boggles the mind that so many ignorant people will post nonsense on a blog. Their arrogance and stupidity made me sick. It's their repulsive attitudes towards overweight people that force many of us to such extremes to find employment, love, friendship, decent clothes, and quality of life. In the big scheme of things, who is REALLY the one that's "disabled"?
