Brighton is a very cool palce! Thank you  I was banded on 12th June did a week pre op diet before that which is included in the 11kg weightloss lol. Shoulder pain sounds harsh I think I got off really lightly I hardly had any pain at all and no shoulder pain. I am having my first fill on Wednesday! Whoop Whoop X

I did have to have a week of ONLY soya milk though I think that more than makes up for no shoulder pain lol

Wow - 11kg since June is still amazing though. How much do you have to lose? What kinds of food are you eating at the moment? Are you hungry? It's so strange having no appetite at all. You are SO lucky not to have the shoulder pain - it's awful!!

Hi, its nice to see UK ppl on the forum. I am contemplating the big step -- and am seeing my GP this evening to discuss. I have struggled with my weight for over 20 years after the birth of my first son. I am interested in keeping up with lap banders' progress as this helps me assess more and more what to expect if I am lucky enough to be a viable patient! My best wishes are sent to you all for successful weight loss and a happier contented life. Keep up the good work. As always, x

Shoulder pain really sounds awful you have my commiserations! I have a fair amount to loose I started out at about 127 and a bit kg I have not really pondered where I want to get down to I just take every day at a time my first mini goal is a size 18 which I hope to achieve by Xmas. 6kg is also very good mine weight loss is more in fits and starts some weeks I hardly lose anything other weeks it just seems to drop off lol I only weigh once a week though I think given the nature of the operation we had done it would be easy to get a bit obsessive with weighing I don't own any scales I go the the local health clinic once a week. I do get hungry but I still have some restriction I still can't eat bread. I am back to normal food, I am veggie so don't have meat to contend with. I can quite happily eat rice, Pasta, any veg potatoes quorn, sushi I can eat about a kids portion of food which I am happy with but that may well change after the fill. K XX

Hi Diamond,

I have struggled with me weight for around 15 years and i'm sure like everyone on here, have tried everything! I am feeling so positive about this and already feeling better. Happy to help with any questions or happy to recommend my amazing surgeon, Professor Nadey Hakim.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
