MrsFlipFlops 2 Posted July 22, 2008 I just had the coolest FHE with my husband last night. A lot of FHE activities are lost on us, because we don't have kids... but last night, my hubby was in charge and had a list of 15 topics from Tithing, to Priesthood, the Jesus Christ. For each topic, we each shared a spriritual experience we've had that was related. It was very insightful. I learned a lot about my husband!! So next week is my turn? Anyone have thoughts for FHE for people with no kids??
Choromom 0 Posted July 23, 2008 One of my favorite personal things to do that is similar to this is to pick a topic from the Topical Guide and follow the scriptures listed. You can read each verse listed in the guide, and/or follow the cross-references in one of those verses.
Shinyhappymommy 2 Posted July 23, 2008 We've been using the General Conference talks as lessons. We are using them with our kids, even having them take turns teaching, but it would be a perfect adult-teaching-adult lesson as well. We just started at the beginning of the Ensign issue and we're doing one talk a week. Good for you for having FHE with just dh and you. My bishop when we first got married really emphasized the importance of doing that.
JenniLeen 0 Posted July 26, 2008 Before kids hubby and I would always play spiritual games. We played "life". DH created a Life like board, but it had spiritual things on it. Such as when you have to get married he made it so that we had to share one thing about our wedding day. Then things like read such and such scripture. The ones where you were in "trouble" he put things like talk to your bishop, or you need to go pray and ask for forgiveness. I wish that we still had it now, because I'm sure the kids would like to play it. I'll have to look and see if I have any pictures of it.
