poohprecious 0 Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) I have some friends that have found success with B 12 injections and I was wondering if I could you it as well after getting my band. Also, has anyone purchase them and inject them yourself? If so, where did you get it from and how much do you inject yourself with? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Edited July 22, 2008 by poohprecious
Long2BFree 12 Posted July 22, 2008 B12 is not necessary with the Lapband like it is with gastric bypass since you won't have malabsorbtion issues. However, I have been taking B12 for a couple of years to help me with my energy levels. I place a tablet under my tongue once a week. The tablets are very cheap to purchase from a health food store. Melody2006 1 Posted July 22, 2008 You can do the over the counter tablets or the shots. Will work the same. You can buy everything you need if you want to go the shot route at any pharmacy.

luluc 6 Posted July 22, 2008 are the shots injected into fat or muscle? do they burn? where on the body are they usually injected...arm, bottom etc? my dr has my shots placed in a muscular part of my body - for me that's my thigh. i'm use to them, so i have no burning. there is also a B12 patch on the market for those who don't like needles. i've toyed with trying them....
