dwrd73 0 Posted July 22, 2008 How long after surgery did you start driving again? For how long or how far?
bandolina 0 Posted July 22, 2008 I think it depends on how much of the prescribed pain medication you're taking. I was banded 5 days ago, and I drove for the first time yesterday (5 miles round trip). I decided I was ready because I was only taking the Vicotin (sp?) at night and Motrin during the day to manage the slight pain.

Papahemi 0 Posted July 22, 2008 In 3 days I was driving to and from work (45 miles 1 way). Plain You returned to work after 3 days out from the surgery? Thats amazing. I am starting a new job and I am trying to work out a return to work arrangement with my new boss. What would you consider to be a minimum recovery time to return to a non- physical job? ( no lifting involved mostly computer work)
plain 12 Posted July 23, 2008 Well, different strokes for different folks....but if you have a desk job, you'll probably be ok in 3-4 days. The most sore I ever got (and I wouldn't really call it "pain"...more "discomfort") was the day after surgery and the 2nd day out. By days 3 and 4, I felt about 90% back to normal.
