Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a liquid Vitamin w/iron. I have had no luck finding one and I really am not doing well with the chewables. I think they taste like chalk. I tried Walmart chewables, Flinstones and a few others and I truly do not like them. I know Vitamins are an important part of our diets and need to find something fast as my surgery date is fast approaching. Please help!

I am in the UK, and am having chewable 'sweet' type Vitamins. They are fruit flavoured jelly like sweets. Quite nice.

All the very best for your surgery.

XX from the UK.

:tongue2:Hi .. i am using the Vita-gummies (gummy bears) i got it at Sam's Club. They taste just like regular Gummy bears. I take 4 a day. I have to chew them until they are mush of course which is fine because they taste good. I also bought the vita-ball (gumballs) from wal-mart .. i chewed one to see how it tasted and it's really good. I still have a lot of burping all day so i am not chewing the vita-balls yet since i'm afraid it will put more air into my stomach.. i am only 4 days post-op. i could not stomach the chewable Centrum vitamins.. they were awful. I also heard the flintstone children's chewables are good.

My wife found gummi-vitamins, taste just like a gummi-bear - they're great!!!! Sams carries them as does Kroger groceries and probably a lot of other places too.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
