First off....when did you get your last fill? And are you over-eating??? Are you waiting the right amount of time before drinking?? I have to stop drinking 30 min.before my meals and i can't drink anything for 1 hour after i eat...

I AM going through the same thing. I feel like crap right now. My doctor put me on liquids for 3 days. I am drinking chicken broth right now with a lot of pain at the band site. Just trying to get the liquid down.

I have to admit, it was all my fault. I was not being careful about what I was eating. Slowly, I irritated my stoma and here I am. Miserable. I feel like there's so much pressure at my band site. I am hoping this will pass over the next few days, but I am in a lot of pain.

One more thing, I understand the kid thing too. I am a single mom of a 2 year old and every time he kicks me in the stomach, I feel like I get tighter. Or pick him up and place him on my hip... his knee digs into my stomach. It's hard.

If I don't get better by Monday, I'm booking a flight to Mexico to get a little taken out of my band.

D~

regurgitating is not a good thing. are you chewing properly? are you over eating? are you drinking with your meals? could be many reasons.

if you PB (or regurgitate), your stomach swells so if you eat more it just gets worse. if i have an episode, i go on liquids only for at least 12 hours, more than likely 24. that gives the stomach time to settle down.

good luck, keep us posted.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
