Lolasaphire 0 Posted July 17, 2008 I just got banded today and I forgot to ask if it is o.k. to sleep on my side, does anyone know?
Northwest_Nance 0 Posted July 17, 2008 I think whatever is comfortable for you, is fine. I had no problems laying on my couch or sleeping in my bed the first night after surgery, but the only way I could lay on my side for the first week or two, was if I had a big pillow to lean on, to cushion the pressure pain I felt at the port site. I really think your own body is your guide on this one. I'm two months past surgery now and I don't feel a thing when I lay flat on my stomach.
Irish Ladybug 0 Posted July 17, 2008 My doc said it was one of those things that had to do with your comfort level, I was on my side by night 2. If it doesn't hurt you it won't hurt your band either.
U_go_gurl68 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Oddly enough, I was more comfortable sleeping on the side my port is on for several days after surgery. Now I sleep more comfortably on the opposite side or my stomach, which is what I prefer. Just do what feels comfortable to you. There is no right or wrong way to sleep.< /p> Hope you get some rest.
